Envelope stamps

As you all know I love stamps. And I love to use stamps to embellish envelopes. :)

As I like to use a stamp for highlighting the receiver address, I wanted to carve a "from" stamp for quite a long time. For this stamp I used a very simple design, as I wanted it to match any "to" stamp.

I also carved a new matching set of "from" and "to" stamps.

If you send out an international letter, you normally should put a "priority" sticker on the envelope. As I don't always have one, I carved my own "priority" stamp for it. :)
And I think it's always nice if the envelope is embellished with additional little stamps, as the "mail" stamp you might've seen on my blog a couple of times...

...or this new "Sent with ♥" stamp. :)

Happy snailmailing everyone! :)

Envelope designs

The first topic of this month's project is "Envelopes". :)

Of course, you can always send out envelopes or parcels without special embellishment, but a special envelope makes the process of receiving a letter so much more fun. It increases the anticipation of opening it. :)

As I've received quite a lot of snail mail in beautiful envelopes or parcels last year, I chose examples from those for this post. :) I thought it would be nice to show different design ideas of different persons with different styles. :D

One obvious way to make an envelope prettier is to paint on it.

And combined with a little washi tape...beautiful! :)

Using stamps, especially self-carved ones, is also a great way to embellish a letter. Either one big one...

...one completed with little drawings...

...or covering the complete envelope with stamps.

Using classic postage stamps is also a beautiful and easy way to make the parcel a little more special.

I especially adore small details on envelopes. :) Pretty little drawings...

...or sewn details.

I hope this post gave you some ideas for the next time you're working on a snail mail. ♥
I would love to hear about other design ideas from you! :)

A good start into the year: Snail mail! :)

I'm doing it again. I'm choosing January as a snail mail month just like last year. :D
I have plenty of things in my mind, so this is my project plan for this month:

Happy snail mailing and a wonderful start into the next week! ♥

A happy, happy new year to everyone! :D

Wish you all a wonderful, joyful and happy new year! ♥
2013 has been a wonderful year, full of exciting events, and now I'm looking forward to the new year! :D

The last weeks were very busy but wonderful. We enjoyed the christmas days with our beloved ones and I was busy making handmade gifts, meeting old friends, eating a lot and relaxing. ;)

One of my new year's resolution is to find more time for blogging. I also want to rethink and reorganize some things on my blog. I'm not going to take a blog break, but it could get a little quieter around here the next month. :)

Wish you all a wonderful start into the new year! ♥

My swap with Adriana

I love Adriana's blog. She's so talented! I've found her over The Happy Mail Project and asked her if she'd like to swap with me and this is the outcome. :)

This is the beautiful mail I got from her. I love the parcel and the stamp so much!!

A nature inspired mail with pretty little pieces.

Tea, yarn and a cute button! :D

And this is what I've sent her.
If anyone is interested in the pear coaster pattern (only in German, but if you have questions, just ask :)), check this out.

By the way, Adriana blogged about our swap too. :)

Another snail mail to Spain

This week I will continue to show you the missing snail mails and the last two weeks before christmas, I'm going to post some christmas-related things. So the plan. :)

This is the last swap I've sent to Blanca. I made her a crocheted mandala and filled the swap with some tags, selfmade mini envelopes and other things I hope she enjoyed. :)

I hope the christmas season inspires you to send out a few more mails than during the year. ♥

Snail mail happiness from Spain

Blancas snail mails are always so pretty! Every time I feel honored she's sent me such a beautiful composition. I love the stationary she used to write on. It's so cheerful! :)

A pamphlet from a Japanese art exhibition.

Wonderfully painted tags and pretty stamped envelopes. I love the teapot and the flying blowball seed.

A cute selfmade little plant. Unfortunatelly one leaf broke during its trip, but I fixed it. :)

Thanks for this beautiful swap! ♥
