Doing things I love again...:)

Hi everyone! :) :) After all the wedding excitement I started again doing things I love. :)

I finally had the time to take care of our plants...and tried to fight against spider mites ("Spinnmilben" in German). :( Any good advice? They infested two of our orchids and our siamcurcurma...:(

I continued crocheting the retro circle blanket. :)

I carved many stamps the last two weeks and I'm looking forward to showing them to you. :) Here is one of my new stamps: a tag stamp I like to use for snail mail. :)

Also, I finally started to put together swap packages for my pen pals. :) Three are ready to be shipped (details coming soon)! :D

I also wanted to show you a beautiful necklace dear Maggie from Kookooloores gave me as a wedding present...isn't it lovely? She makes these necklaces by herself! You have to check out her shop (DaWanda or Etsy), her necklaces are so beautiful! :D Thank you so much again!!!

I guess some of you are waiting for wedding pictures and I promise, I will show them soon. :) Unfortunatelly, I still had no time to look through the pictures and choose the ones I would like to show you..but I will... :)
Wish you all a lovely week! :)

I made it 12 months!

Dear lovely readers,
unfortunatelly I missed my blog birthday on Sep 4th. :( Taking a break from all the busy days before and right after the wedding and finally enjoying normal life together as newly-weds, I missed it... But nevertheless, I'm happy to announce that I made it ONE year! Yay! :D I can't believe it's already been 12 months I jumped into the wonderful world of blogging. :)

Looking back, I reeeeeeeaaaally enjoyed it. Sure, after getting engaged and after the wedding preparations started to get really busy, I unfortunatelly hadn't much time for blogging...but still... :) I'm very happy how much fun I had developing my little blog and how I managed to do creative things the entire year! Besides, it was so wonderful getting to know people all around the world over this little blog! :)

I'm also very happy about my small number of readers. Thank you so so much! Your comments and your feedback were great and helped me to continue!! :)

So, I'm very excited to be back, even though for just a couple of weeks, as we plan to FINALLY go on our honeymoon in November!!! In the next weeks I will show you all the details of our self-made wedding decoration and of course a couple of pictures from the wedding too. :)

By the way, my wedding invitations were featured in Katjas wonderful wedding blog: Fraeulein-k-sagt-ja. During the wedding preparations her blog was one of my favourite, as she always posts such beautiful wedding ideas! :) Thank you so much for the nice meeting and the beautiful pictures you took!
I'm also working on another feature of my invitations with much more details about the making-of, coming soon. :)

I'm looking forward to blogging again, even though it's just a little break from my big wedding break. ;)
And @all my swap partners: I already started your swaps and pretty soon you'll receive something nice in your mailbox! :D

Wish you all a lovely day! ♥

Wedding crafting and a summer wedding pause

As you might've imagined, I'm currently very very busy... :) I do a lot of wedding related things; organizing a bunch of stuff but also crafting a lot. I tried to do both, organize the wedding and continue blogging. But to be honest, I can't manage to do both, as you might've guessed by my seldom blog posts. ;)

So this is why I wanna take a break. So I won't feel sorry anymore for not blogging. And I can totally concentrate on all the wedding stuff. It hasn't been too stressful since now, which I'm really happy about, and I hope by taking a break, it'll stay like this till the wedding. :)

While saying goodbye and see you all back in September or October (depending on our honeymoon, which isn't booked yet...;)), I wanted to show you some wedding things, I've been working on the last couple of months. I'm going to show you all the details after the wedding and how everything worked together, but still, I wanted to give you a little preview and insight into my daily evening occupation. ;)

So here I go...

Pompom paper flowers, which I love, because they're soooo pretty!! :)

A couple of hundred origami cranes...

...our ring holder bowl (don't know how to call it), paper "thank you" and fimo tags...

...fabric roses, the groom's, best man's and groomsmen's boutonnieres which took like forever (only one in the picture), the second bow tie prototype (I'm going to sew it with black fabric), a frame for bridesmaids clutches...

...and crocheted heart cake toppers...

...and there's still a lot to do! :D

So thank you for understanding! :)
I wish you all a lovely summer, enjoy the sun and I'm looking forward to see you back in a couple of weeks. :D

A beautiful swap from Blanca

Blanca has sent me such a beautiful swap package again! I especially loved her creative envelope. :D When my boyfriend saw the envelope, his comment was: "You don't get mail as normal people do..." ;)

Everything was wrapped up so nicely. :D

Something sweet, a tea, a cut button.

Some pretty stickers and such a cute cat made out of a rubber!! :D

And tiny envelopes with the most amazing flower paintings!! I don't think I'll be able to use them at all, they're just so pretty!

I loved everything about Blancas swap...thank you so much! ♥

♥ To all who are waiting for my return swap: Thanks for the patience! I hope to answer you very soon!
♥ To all who asked me for swapping: I would love to swap with each one of you! But I think I won't be able to make any more swaps before the wedding. But after that I'm happy to get to know some new swap partners! :) Thanks for understanding!

It's almost weekend, yay! :D

Swapping with Nina

Some weeks ago I received a beautiful swap package from dear Nina. Check out her nice blog, where she posts about her snail mail love too. :)

Her package was filled with beautiful little things.

I especially loved the antique tea spoon and the b/w picture she's sent me!

A selfmade cute notebook, some pressed flowers, stickers and papers... :)

Opening a lovely packed snail mail and exploring every little detail of it is such a great feeling! :) Thanks so much, Nina! I hope to answer you as soon as possible!

Blog pause and snail mail

Sorry for the long blog absence. We've been on vacation in Tuscany and had visits from the States the last weeks.

I love those small cute italian houses. ♥

Right now there is also a lot of wedding stuff going on, I guess the next two months I won't manage to blog regularly...

I received some beautiful snail mails in the last couple of weeks.
Elise wrote me a second letter...

...and I also prepared something for her. :)

I'm going to show you the other ones in the upcoming week. Wish you all a wonderful Sunday evening and a good start into the next week!

Blogging the next months

Time flies...it's unbelievable! Only 3 months to go...

As you might've recognized I stopped with my monthly creative projects, as with all the wedding preparations I don't have the time to follow an extra monthly project. But I hope to start again after the wedding. :)

So the next months are going to be a lot of wedding crafting, but also single project ideas, that wander around my head. :)

For instance the retro circles blanket I wanted to crochet for almost a year now. I immediately got addicted to crocheting again. ;)

A friend of mine sewed the stripped bag as a birthday gift for me by the way! ♥

In the news they said next week is going to get warm...FINALLY! :D I hope for the best, as our plants and me desperately need sun and good weather! Wish you all a good start into the week! ♥
